Restorative Care

Sometimes our teeth need a little extra help to look and feel great. We offer a number of restorative dentistry treatments to fix teeth that are chipped, cracked, or even infected. Let us help you get your smile back.

Tooth-Colored Fillings

Instead of placing traditional amalgam (silver) fillings, at Violet Creek Family Dentistry, we use composite, or tooth-colored, fillings. These fillings are typically smaller, so they require less preparation and allow us to leave more of your tooth’s healthy structure in place.

Dental Crowns

If you have a tooth that is cracked or chipped, or a filling so large that it has changed the overall shape of your tooth, you could benefit from the placement of a crown. Dr. Ahmad offers same-day crowns with the revolutionary CEREC® technology, so you can have your crown made and placed in the same appointment.

Patients who are missing a couple of teeth could have their smile restored with a dental bridge. A bridge connects to crowns placed on either side of the gap caused by missing teeth. A false tooth sits in place of the missing tooth or teeth, essentially “bridging” the gap and completing your smile.

For patients who are missing most or all of their teeth, we recommend a denture. Thanks to advancements in materials and technology, dentures are now more comfortable and functional than ever before. Though it will take a few appointments to get your denture to fit just right, once all the adjustments have been made, you’ll be smiling and talking with confidence again, and eating most of your favorite foods.

Dental Implants

Dr. Ahmad is trained in all phases of implant dentistry, from the placement of the implant to the restoration that goes on top. Learn more about our dental implant services.

Root Canal Therapy

Severe tooth pain could indicate an infection deep within a tooth. If Dr. Ahmad finds an infection in your tooth, he may recommend root canal therapy. The term “root canal” is scary to most patients, but rest assured that the pain and discomfort your tooth is causing you is much worse than any discomfort you might feel during the procedure. We also provide you with sedation to keep you comfortable.

Sedation Dentistry

Dental anxiety can range from nerves at a dental visit to steering clear of the dentist for years because of your fears. It’s a very real thing that a number of our patients suffer from, so know that you are not alone and that sedation dentistry can help!

Nitrous oxide (laughing gas) is a sweet-smelling gas that puts patients in a heightened state of relaxation. You’ll simply inhale the gas through a mask during your procedure. Once we’re done, breathe normally for a few minutes and you’ll be as good as new!

For patients with moderate to more severe anxiety, Dr. Ahmad may recommend oral conscious sedation. He’ll prescribe a pill for you to take shortly before your procedure. By the time you’re in the dental chair, you’ll feel calm and comfortable, and our team will be able to get to work on your smile.
